Abstract

Background: Frozen shoulder is pain which results in limitation LGS on the shoulder. SWD reduces muscle tone, increases tissue elasticity in preparation for exercise, and cause muscle relaxation.

Purpose: The purpose of this study to determine the effect of giving SWD, TENS manipulation therapy, Exercise Therapy can reduce pain, increase range of motion, improve the functional ability shoulder joint to patient frozen shoulder

Methods: The research use a randomized four group pretest-posttest design approach.  The sample used in this study amounted to 24 respondents taken with diagnose frozen shoulder. The method of collecting money data was used interview method and measurement method pretest and posttest. As for the analysis of collected data used Wilcoxon and Kruskal-Wallis analysis models. Results: Results in this study analysis Wilcoxon Treatment I find out the difference in the effect of are significant (P<0.05). Treatment II finds out the difference in the effect of are significant (P<0.05). Treatment III finds out the difference in the effect of are significant (P<0.05). Treatment IV finds out the difference in the effect of are significant (P<0.05). Kruskal-Wallis analysis find out the difference in the effect of are Significant (P<0.05) on four treatments reduce pain covering silent pain 0.019 tenderness 0.005, and motion pain 0.006, and functional capability 0.016.

Conclusion: The most effective reduce pain treatment PI and improve functional ability in treatment P2. Find out the not difference in the effect of are Significant (P>0.05) on four treatments inflection 0.375, extension 0.087, abduction 0.595. The most effective to increase the range of motion treatment P2.
